The first of two American stops on the 2022 tour and the first time the series has ever seen the East Coast.  An exciting opportunity to cover the world's best in Enduro discipline compete on some of the toughest and technical terrain in New England right here on Burke Mountain.

MEDIA SCHEDULE:

Thursday, August 11th

  • 10:00am - 12:00pm  Shakedown.  Official EWS Teams & Accredited Media.  

LOCATION:  Bike Park Trail:  Jester

**All parking is located at the Sherburne Base Lodge.  Lift-access starts here.  

  • 3:30pm - 5:30pm   Media & Team Reception.  

LOCATION:  Burke Mountain Hotel; Day Lodge, Level 2

Immediately following the media recce we invite all EWS Official Teams and media to join us in the beautiful timber-framed Day Lodge of the Burke Mountain Hotel. 

Reception presented by Lawson's Finest Liquids and Cabot Cheese.  

Live music featuring Shrimptunes.  

Free swag bag for registered accredited media who attend featuring Vermont-based brands Skida, Kaden Apparel, BIVO, Darn Tough Socks, and Kingdom Trails.

Meet the Burke EWS organizers and representatives from our local and regional trail networks including Kingdom Trails, Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA) and Bike Borderlands.

All accredited media in attendance will receive a complimentary membership to ride Kingdom Trails while they are here.  Excellent opportunity to ask questions about the network and learn about group ride opportunities during Burke EWS.  

 

Friday, August 12th - PRACTICE DAY

Practice starts at 8am and will last (approx.) through 6pm. 

All parking for media is at the Sherburne Base Lodge, Lot 2 (same as EWS/100/80 riders).  Parking pass included with your media credential packet.  

Take the Sherburne Express Lift to Main Event Village if you wish to grab a ride on UTV to take you to other locations.

Media UTV Transport will be available from 8am-4pm (no bikes) - see UTV Transport Map.  **Helmet required - please bring your own helmet (bike helmet OK).    

1pm Group Ride on Kingdom Trails followed by Pub Crawl from 4pm-7:3pm.  Depart from Moose Haven trailhead parking lot and explore Black Bear (blue square trail).  Must have your own bike.

7:30pm Raffle at Mike's Tiki Bar

Saturday, August 13th - EWS 100/80 Race Day

EWS riders will practice and race pro stage from 8am - 2:30pm (approx). 

EWS 100/80 Race starts at 10:30am with the last rider finishing around 5:30pm.  

NOTE:  SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION TO SUMMIT is only available from 6:30am - 8am.  This is your only opportunity to catch a ride to summit.  Please pick up shuttle at Sherburne Base Lodge to obtain a ride (can accommodate bike but you must be an approved media person to bring your bike to the summit - no exceptions).  After 8am no vehicle transport will be available past CCC road.  Be prepared to hike.
