  • What is the EWS?

The Enduro World Series is the highest level of enduro mountain biking in the world. It sees elite mountain bike athletes compete in timed stages on the toughest, most physically and technically challenging trails in the world.

  • Where is the Race Festival taking place?

The Burke Mountain EWS Race Festival will be located in East Burke, Vermont USA. There will be two event villages:  Main Event Village where awards ceremony, live entertainment featuring DJ Logic all centered around the Burke Mountain Hotel; Base Event Village is located approx 2 miles from the Main Event Village where EWS 80/100 race paddock is located as well as event exhibitors and main ticket box office.  A scenic chairlift ride is included as part of your 1, 2, or 3-day festival ticket which connects the two villages.  

 

  • How do I register for the event?

  • Is there a cost to spectate or enter the Festival?

Spectator tickets are required for all course spectating and event village access (main and base villages).   Includes your admission to the event, free parking and shuttle service to/from village, live entertainment featuring DJ Logic Saturday & Sunday evening as well as scenic chair lift ride.    

 

  • Where can I camp? Where can I stay?

No overnight camping is permitted, please see our recommendations of places to stay when you are planning your trip here.  

 

  • Can I bring my bike into the Festival?

Although this is a bike event, bikes are not allowed on course or anywhere in the main or event base villages.  

 

  • Can I ride my bike on the course trails?

Only registered racers are permitted to access the trails. Trails will be closed to the public after Bike Park operations Sunday, August 7th through Sunday, August 14th for the event.

 

  • Will there be road closures?

The Burke Mountain toll road will be closed Saturday, August 6th through Sunday, August 14th for race event operations. Please respect all road closures and parking guidance.

 

  • Will the bike park be open to spectators?

The Burke Mountain Bike Park is part of the EWS event and will be closed to all riders with the exception of training and race days for competitors.

 

  • Are dogs welcome?

No.  Please leave your pets at home. Unfortunately dogs are not permitted anywhere on the event grounds.

  • Will there be additional trail closures outside of Burke Bike Park Trails?  

Yes.  Wilder's Way, Parr's Yard, Shirer, and Kirby Connector will be closed.  All Burke Bike Park trails including the x-country trails (camptown, dead moose alley, dead moose abuse, blacksmith, parr's yard, shirer, CCC Road, Lower Excalibur, Wayne's World, and J-bar trail) will all be closed starting Saturday, Aug. 6th.  

  • What if I'm coming to ride Kingdom Trails.  What trails will be impacted?

By way of reminder, a Kingdom Trails day membership is NOT included as part of your 1, 2, or 3-day event pass.  Kingdom Trails day membership is separate.  With that being said the Dashney Trails parking lot will be open for Kingdom Trails riders.  No impact to Burn em up / down, trillium, candy bar, loop, the moose's and butter tubs.  These trails will remain open through the entirety of the event.  NOTE:  Magill fields is our only spectator parking lot with shuttle service running Friday through Sunday.  

  • Can I meet the pro riders?

Yes.  Red Bull presents our Fireside Chat Friday, August 12th, an exclusive opportunity for 3-day event pass spectators to meet a panel of athletes.  Fireside chat attendees will also receive a custom Burke EWS poster.  

 

  • What is the best way to watch the race and view the race results?

Spectator Map and Guide will be released Monday, August 8th.  It will be a digital guide scannable via QR code and available on our website.  QR codes will be posted around event villages for easy access.   Dedicated spectator zones on course will be identified and leaderboard standings will be streamed on Burke Mountain youtube channel and large TV screens throughout the Main and Base event village.
